The Promise - A Poem

The Promise

“Until destiny do us part,
Until my heart beats its last,
Until the barriers of time break,
apart; We shall live by hope,

And hope shall lead the way,
And if we bide our time,
We shall not rest in peace,
Until our souls entwined,

In the grey realms of the nether world;
And shall the grey world be filled,
With the purity of our hope.

There shall be distances, between us,
in this God’s hopeful world
And we shall struggle,
against the wheels of time,

Have no fear, O’Darling;
for the Love of your heart;
Has set out adventurous,
into the might big world
To claim you O’Sweetheart.
As he sets out across,
the mountains of life , unknown,
Treaks sane man hath not risk for,
wish him luck O’ lovely lady

For the paths dangerous
And he rides his head held high,
for he has your love,
And a hope,
for in this hateful world,

There is still the purity of hope,
and in hope shall we live

Until our last breath, maybe….

Wandering Sands

Wandering Sands

“The hot sun blazes across,
And the dry winds carry the dust, afar,
The sands shine a dull red,
golden they glare under the fiery sun;
Even the winds have a dry taste,
and move across the barren landscape,
In search of lifeblood,
in search of a trickle of water,

For they have tasks to do,
weary I am, parched my throat is,
Like the shrubs across the vast desert,
but my goal, tis different,

And I look abound and afar,
for my lovely maiden,
It is not water that quenches my thirst, for
The nectar from her heart,
and her soul, I want to drink,
Far as my sight could see,
disappointment abound my eyes,
For I can see the Oasis,
for I can see the Water,

Want I, to tell, the blowing , dry winds,
the water, tis not where they look for;

I whisper, silently to the winds,
“ look there, there hath the quest of your search.”
For I hope, the winds, they might,
bring me the scent of my love,

But,

They do not heed, go abound they,
for they think am insane,
And they go about their quests,
Unmindful am I, and go on I,
for I have come here, to find my love,
I have waited long enough,
but the longing prolonged till eternity,

But there hath no end to my quest,
for I have hope in my heart,

For she’s my salvation,
she is my divine messenger,
for she is my love,
And with the flame in my heart,
burning bright , like the sun above,
I climb another mountain of sand,
And I look afar and awide,
but I see not my love,
And my spirit it goes on,
for my body, long gone it has,
Into the vast mountains of sand,
it is not but, sand,
But my spirit, it still live,
and a fiery flame burns,
Deep inside me, for my love,
she hath lost somewhere,

And the mounds of sand,
lie between us,
And so my search goes on,
in everlasting hope.

Repetitions

Repetitions

“I see the green mountains,
lush landscape and all,
The mountains distant,
tops in misty clouds as I pass,
Away the cool breeze blows my hair,
And I see at the mass of humanity,

For a child’s mewling distracts me,
the mother I watch.
As a frown appears on her face,
she looks around,
To see a cause of her infant’s distress,
and looks around and awide,
Her frown largens, for she sees no cause,

She hugs him closer to her breast,
for her warmth may pacify him,
But the mewling infant goes on,
she looks around again,

But there hung frustration on faces,
surrounding, how does he know
Of the ways of the world,
and she covers herself,
But the infant does not heed,
anxious faces stare at her,

For a women’s body,
every women’s body, worth a peep.

She gives in finally,
and quenches his thirst,
With her milk, and she looks around,
nameless faces staring intently,

Intend for a women’s breast,
and she wonders angrily
Has shame left the world? Wondered she
Wondered I, when they had lain,
In their mother’s lap,
had they stared greedily
At the mother’s chest?
And she clung onto her infant,
And thought futilely,
“he won’t be like this.”
